comfortable wide-tired fatbike, join this relaxing ride along the Kemijoki and Ounasjoki
rivers and explore Rovaniemi beyond the city centre.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

This guided bike ride lets you discover the most beautiful beaches and bridges of Rovaniemi. This time, you won’t need to climb hills or venture deep into the forest but instead the route and terrain are mostly flat and along established trails and bike lanes. This tour is all about easy pace and having a good time, sprinkled with local culture and witnessing the comings and goings of locals. This tour is perfect for people new to fatbiking. If you can ride a regular bike, you are ready to enjoy the trip – and we can even tailor the experience to suit your riding abilities!

The tour begins from Rovaniemi city centre, and heads towards the Kemijoki River and the most recognizable local landmark – Jätkänkynttilä bridge. We follow the bike path over the river, and past a pond or two. When the weather allows, we can even stop to enjoy ice cream near the Kirkkolampi lake. Other sights include the Rovaniemi public library, designed by famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, the shores of Ounasjoki River and the arctic gardens of Arktikum museum. You can of course ask your guide for route suggestions and other sights!

The Rovaniemi Parks and Riversides fatbike tour is also a great opportunity to capture some amazing photos. We have some breaks during this ride when you can take out your camera and photograph the outstanding nature and landscapes. What’s more, your guide is also a photographer – so if you want, you can just focus on the ride, and enjoy the photo collection later!
