We will
depart from Rovaniemi by minibus and take a short 35 minute drive to our
reindeer farm. On the farm you will hear stories of reindeer herding from local
family and get to feed and meet the reindeer. You will also enjoy cup of
coffee/tea/hot chocolate and freshly made crepes in traditional Lappish Kota hut.

long tour with our photographer. You will meet the reindeer herder family who
have been practising reindeer herding at least 5 generations in this
traditional farm. During your visit you will explore everyday life in the farm,
get to feed the reindeers and get familiar with life of the reindeer. You will
hear some stories and facts about reindeer herding in Lapland and how it is an
integral part of the nature and culture in Northern Finland. You can also test
“suopunki” throwing which is one of the most important skills for herders to
get reindeer under control.
