Join a three-hour night-time snowmobile adventure across frozen bogs, forests and rugged hills around Levi. The route moves away from artificial light and includes several stops to watch the sky.
The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed. Riding through the dark winter landscape remains the core experience even when the Aurora does not appear.
This adventure is designed for small groups, for the benefit of the environment as well as participants. We operate on exclusive routes, taking our guests through the frozen bogs and rugged hills of Levi to experience the wonders of the Arctic.
We ride our snowmobiles
to the wilderness, far from artificial lights to an ideal place for watching
the Northern Lights. The snowy forests look truly magical in the darkness,
especially when they are lit by the moon and stars. Snowmobiling after dark and
crossing the snowy landscapes around Levi is an experience in itself even if the auroras do not show up for us.
During this 3-hour program, we make a few stops on the way to look at the sky while hunting for the Northern Lights. The guide will also tell you more interesting stories about beautiful unique Lappish nature.
The snowy forests look truly magical in the darkness, especially when they are lit by the moon and stars. We will also stop along the way to prepare a tasty snack on the fire, just like the locals. Feel free to bring a tripod for your camera for optimal night shots.
WHY CHOOSE THIS TOUR?
Every driver must be over 18 and carry a valid driving licence. Finnish law prohibits driving under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants.
Two people share each snowmobile. Odd-numbered groups are advised to purchase a single-driver supplement. Children shorter than 140 cm travel in a sleigh pulled by the guide. Children over 140 cm may sit as passengers when paying the adult price, subject to the guide’s final safety decision. The tour is not recommended for children under 4.
The driver is liable for snowmobile damage up to a flat self-liability amount of 900 €. A 20 € per-driver waiver reduces this to 150 € per driver per accident.
