Authentic Reindeer Sled Ride in Levi

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Did you know that reindeer grow new antlers every year? During this 2-hour guided tour, you will meet the reindeer, learn interesting new facts, hear stories, and enjoy riding in a sled through the snowy forest, just like in the old days!  Sleds pulled by reindeer were the main mode of transportation before the invention of snowmobiles. Travelling by reindeer is a peaceful and traditional way to experience a part of authentic Lapland and local culture.

After the 1,5 km long sled ride through the snowy forests, you will hear stories about everyday life with reindeer and how it is an important part of the nature and Sámi culture in Northern Finland. You will even get to feed the reindeer! We will also enjoy a hot drink over the warmth of a campfire in a traditional "kota" log cabin to shelter from the cold.
