WHAT TO EXPECT?

We have carefully chosen one of the most tradionational reindeer farms for this 3 hour long tour with our photographer. You will meet the reindeer herder family who have been practising reindeer herding at least 5 generations in this traditional farm. During your visit you will explore everyday life in the farm, get to feed the reindeers and take 2 km ride on a sleigh pulled by reindeers. You will also hear some great stories and facts about reindeer herding in Lapland and how it is an integral part of the nature and culture in Northern Finland.

We will depart from Rovaniemi by minibus and take a short 35 minute drive to reindeer farm. On the farm you will hear some stories of reindeer herding from local family and get to feed and meet the reindeers inside of the fences. You will also enjoy cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate and freshly made crepes in traditional Lappish Kota building.
