This is the natural and traditional way of gliding through the routes in Lapland. Prepare to make new friends as you will meet the experienced sled dogs that will be happy to take you on this unforgettable ride!
WHAT TO EXPECT?
During this experience you get to visit a family run husky kennel where you will learn about the lifestyle that is focused on the sled dogs. This is the best source to learn about this traditional way of moving around in the arctic. You will meet Alaskan Huskies and Siberian huskies that are real top athletes.
We will drive 20 minutes to the kennel from Levi. You will learn how to be the musher of your own dog sled and learn all the necessary skills to have a safe and exciting adventure with the professional guide and the experienced dogs. You will be driven by a professional musher on this 10 km long winter route.
After the ride you can spend time with the dogs and learn more about their achievements in the sled dog racing. Be prepared to ask all the questions you have in mind! There will be a moment to sit by the open fire in the cozy Kota building with some warm drinks.

Children sit on a sled during the husky experience (children under 6 years sit on a sled with their parents and children over 6 years on the guide's sled unless guide advises otherwise.)
Children aged 13–15 years are allowed to drive the sled if circumstances allow so (it is always guide`s decision).
