Early Winter Family Husky Adventure

This early winter husky adventure is the perfect way to enjoy meeting the huskies together with your family!

You will also visit the husky kennel, learn more about the life of a husky and enjoy a hot drink to warm up after the ride!

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Get to meet the huskies, enjoy a ride in a husky-drawn cart or sled on a thrilling dash on the trails winding the forest. Afterwards there will be time to mingle with the dogs, have a snack and enjoy a cup of hot juice and cookies around the fire.

This tour is most suitable for families with small children or for people, who prefer not to stay outdoors too long. There is always a chance to spend time with huskies after the cart or sled ride, learn some interesting facts about sled dogs and create nice photos as memories to take back home. We serve hot berry juice after the husky adventure to warm you up.

If snow comes early in November, our tours will be done with sleds instead of the carts with wheels.

BORN TO RUN!

Huskies are not born fit, it takes lots of preparation and conditioning before the dogs are as fit as they can be. When you visit the kennel. you get a feel for how the dogs are prepared to be the amazing athletes they are. The enthusiastic dogs will happily take you down the forest trail for an unforgettable experience.

Pick-ups:

You will be able to choose your pick-up location when you make the booking. We only offer pickups from certain collective meeting points within the Rovaniemi area. Pickups begin approximately one hour before the starting time of the tour. Make sure this does not conflict with your schedule.

During pick up driver will look for you by your name in the reception area of the informed hotel.
Please inform us of your mobile phone number, in case we need to contact you on the day of the tour.

Winter clothing:

We will be out on a husky ride around 4 km or 45 minutes, so you need to make sure you have enough warm clothing with you.

Riding the sled:

The distance of the ride is 4 km on the cart, or a 45 minute ride in the sled if there is snow, depending on snow and weather conditions and your skills. Guests between the ages of 13–16 are considered teenagers. Teenagers are not eligible to drive the sled themselves and will be required to sit in the sled of the guide.
