WHAT TO EXPECT?

On this tour, you get to meet the huskies, enjoy a ride in a husky-drawn cart on a thrilling dash on the trails winding the forest. Afterwards there will be time to mingle with the dogs, have a snack and enjoy a cup of hot juice and cookies around the fire.

This tour is most suitable for families with small children or for people, who prefer not to stay outdoors too long. There is always a chance to spend time with huskies after the cart or sled ride, learn some interesting facts about sled dogs and create nice photos as memories to take back home. We serve hot berry juice after the husky adventure to warm you up.

Huskies are not born fit, it takes lots of preparation and conditioning before the dogs are as fit as they can be. When you visit the kennel. you get a feel for how the dogs are prepared to be the amazing athletes they are. Age Limit?

This tour is family friendly and suitable for children – there is no age limit.

Only adults (age 17+) will be allowed to drive the cart. Guests between the ages of 13-16 are considered teenagers. Teenagers are not eligible to drive the cart themselves.

PICK-UPs:

You will be able to choose your pickup location when you make the booking. We only offer pickups from certain collective meeting points within the Rovaniemi area. Pickups begin approximately one hour before the starting time of the tour. Make sure this does not conflict with your schedule.

During pick up driver will look for you by your name in the reception area of the informed hotel.

Please inform us of your mobile phone number, in case we need to contact you on the day of the tour.

We will be out on a husky ride around 4 km or 45 minutes, so you need to make sure you have enough warm clothing with you.

PLEASE NOTE!

For animal welfare reasons this tour is offered only weather permitting, 10 degrees Celsius or colder, otherwise it’s too hot for the huskies to run.
