Cool Rovaniemi Summer Night ELECTRIC FATBike Ride

The night without nighttime, or 24 hours of daylight is the highlight of the summer here in the arctic - or as we like to call it - a 5-hour long sunset! This guided bike ride lets you experience some memorable moments from the saddle of an electric fat bike. A professional mountain biking guide will lead you to one of the best spots for watching the midnight sun, with relaxing bike paths and some more demanding off-road trails along the way. If you have some experience from riding mountain bikes, and are comfortable with 2-3 hours of intermediate riding, this tour is perfect for you. We can even tailor the experience to suit your riding abilities!

The tour begins from Rovaniemi city centre, and heads towards the Ounasjoki River with a view towards the most recognizable local landmark – the Jätkänkynttilä bridge. We follow the easy bike paths over the river for about 7 km. Then, we turn to the Santavaara forest road, heading up the hill, enjoying some more technical riding along the bumpy forest road. The electric motors of our bikes ensure a comfortable ride up the hill. At the top of the hill, we stop at the Kuninkaanlaavu lean-to and enjoy the fantastic views over the Ounasjoki river valley and the beautiful sunset, before heading back downhill and cruising back to Rovaniemi.

This adventure is also a great opportunity to capture some amazing photos. We have some breaks during this ride when you can take out your camera and photograph the outstanding nature and landscapes.
